Stop managing behavior. Start changing what creates it.

This work is for you if your dog:
  • is reactive, aggressive, or fearful
  • ignores commands when it matters
  • pulls, pushes, or challenges you
  • struggles to settle and relax
  • feels unpredictable or overwhelming
Or if you feel like:
  • you’ve tried everything
  • nothing is sticking
  • and you’re ready for a different approach

What Makes This Different
This isn’t strictly obedience-based training, although we do use obedience strategically.
It’s not about giving more commands or managing behavior more tightly.
It’s about changing the structure your dog lives inside.
It's about shifting your dog's state of mind.

Because when leadership is clear:
  • behavior becomes predictable
  • pressure becomes manageable
  • dogs settle into their role

My training focus:
  • pressure and release as communication
  • spatial respect and movement
  • clear expectations of behavior
  • teaching dogs how to regulate—not just comply
You’ll learn how to:
  • be a believable leader
  • grow a calm mindset
  • create a stable dog

A note on tools and obedience:
I use tools every day. I train obedience on every dog I work with. And I teach my clients how to do both correctly. For some dogs, that’s enough. But I don’t tend to work with easy dogs.
I work with what I call instinct-driven dogs—high-drive, perceptive, often complex dogs that don’t respond to surface-level training. And these dogs do not become stable through tools and obedience alone.
They need leadership. They are too savvy to follow someone they don’t believe.
So the work is not just about what you do—it’s about who you are to the dog.
I teach leadership first. Then I layer in the tools and obedience that allow it to hold.

Services:

  • Herding Private Lessons - $65
  • Herding Camps - $300 to $500 (varies, based on location)
  • Behavioral Assessment - $200
  • Day Training - $875 to $1,500 (5 or 10 day package)
  • Day Care - $50 (for dogs who I have trained)
  • Board & Train - my schedule makes regular board and trains unrealistic. However, I am looking at blocking out some time over the winter holidays to offer this service. Stay tuned.

What to Expect
  • Honest assessment
  • Clear direction
  • Practical application
  • Owner involvement

This work is not passive.

You will learn how to lead your dog—I can clearly communicate expectations and rules to your dog. I can get your dog to give me their very best. I can proof their behavior in high pressure environments. I can find the tools that are best for you and your dog. I can show you what your dog is capable of. But, without your consistency and leadership, old behavior patterns will return.
