2022 Internship/Employment Opportunities
We are seeking an intern for the 2022 season who will hopefully transition to a part-time, year-round, employee in October. We have decided to flatten our curve of production by adding one more large greenhouse to our operation. This will allow us to grow nearly year-round and offer steady employment. If you are looking for an immersive educational experience with potential for long-term employment, this is the opportunity for you!
Qualified applicants will be detail oriented, have experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions, demonstrate the ability to maintain quality while moving quickly, be willing to receive feedback, and have the maturity to work unsupervised. Experience farming is helpful but not required. Due to the nature of farming, applicants must be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and doing manual labor for 6 - 8 hours per day. Reliable transportation is a must.
Duties include: harvesting, washing, and packing produce (approximately 16 hours per week), weeding, trellising, transplanting, etc. (approximately 8 hours per week). There may be some occasional work with animals (chickens, horses, and goats) as well.
